Metalis are working with a leading manufacturer based in Worcester who due to expansion are looking for a Toolroom Technician to join the team with lots of opportunity to develop skills and on the job training provided.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Millings, Turning, Grinding, Bench Fitting duties
- Stripping / Assembling dies and trimtools
- Use of Overhead Crane / FLT
- Maintaining Die and Trim tool conditions
- Supporting other priorities within the toolroom e.g. machine breakdowns
- Working in a disciplined, methodical approach, complying with all Company Procedures
- Adhering to strict health and safety procedures
The ideal candidate will have:
- Must come from a manufacturing/engineering background
- Previous experience working within a toolroom environment (ideal but not essential)
- Use of Overhead Crane / FLT (Ideally - training can be given)
- Previous experience Turning, Milling, Grinding or Bench Fitting
- A "can do" attitude
Shifts & Salary:
- £28,000 - £30,000 (dependent on experience)
- Days & Afternoons
- 37.5 hours per week Monday Friday (6am - 2pm) (2pm - 10pm)
- 16% shift allowance for Afternoon shift
- Permanent
