EHS Manager

We are looking for an EHS Manager on behalf of our client, a global organisation with UK facilities, to oversee and control effective site EHS policy and processes at their North East sites.
  
This permanent opportunity requires a strong influencer with the ability to drive an enthusiastic approach to implementing EHS policies and safe standards of work across the business, ensuring cultural safety changes and improvements.
  
With a degree/HNC/HND level education, you will have chemical engineering industry appropriate experience with NEBOSH diploma (or equivalent) and an excellent command of EHS application on COMAH sites.
  
Your key responsibilities will be:
  • Ensuring UK sites comply with EHS/COMAH regulations and processes by championing a proactive approach to practices and performance
  • Managing team performance and training whilst maintaining motivation and identifying developmental opportunities
  • Leading and assisting incident investigation and audit programmes
  • Reviewing policies and procedures and acting as lead person with 3rd party reporting
Additional key requirements:
  • A thorough proven knowledge and understanding of EHS management and safe systems of work, with application in an COMAH regulated environment and industrial facilities
  • Ability to report EHS performance though data and root cause analysis
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving and priority and time management skills
