SEN Teaching Assistant Required for Year 4 in Haringey - Start Immediately

An inclusive primary school in Haringey, North London, is looking for a knowledgeable SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil with autism. This SEN Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher to provide one-on-one support, making an impact through personalised autism-friendly strategies.

SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

• Assisting the student with both academic and social tasks throughout the school day.
• Implementing structured daily routines to help the student feel secure and prepared.
• Using autism-specific techniques to manage behaviour effectively.
• Monitoring the student's progress in line with their EHCP and adapting support as needed.
• Working collaboratively with school staff to support the child's development.
