Junior Engineer – Civils – Wolverhampton - Manchester

Approach Personnel are proud to be with a growing and successful Construction Contractor to find a Junior Engineer to help with their heavy civils packages.

The Role

This role will be primarily based in Manchester, however for the first 4-6 months the position will be based on an active construction project based in Wolverhampton. Upon completion of this project, the role will move back up to the Manchester area.

Daily duties include:

• Understanding and analysing AutoCAD drawings
• Working alongside the civil engineering team on a range of commercial construction projects
• Assisting in the delivery of engineering packages
• Liaising with contractors on site responsible for carrying out works to ensure all works are being completed to specification
• Helping to prepare risk assessments and method statements

The Person

• HNC, HND, Bachelors Degree or Equivalent in Civil Engineering
• Knowledge and understanding of AutoCAD
• Understanding of Health and Safety on site
• An interest and understanding of Heavy Civils works
• Drive to progress and learn whilst working
• Right to Work in the UK

The Package

• £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
