***Junior Designer/ Merchandiser opportunity ***

Are you looking for a new opportunity and have experience in a merchandising role? 

I am seeking a Junior Merchandiser/ Designer to join a well established supplier in Manchester. 

Job Responsibilities:

· Design and develop fashion items in line with our client's brand identity and target market.
· Work closely with suppliers to ensure designs are produced accurately and meet quality standards
· Keep up-to-date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colours, and shapes.
· Prepare CADS, tech packs, and presentations for new collections.
· Attend Fit Sessions and provide fit comments to Suppliers
· Assist in the selection of suitable fabrics and trims.
· Product Design and Research – researching current trends, liaising with buyers for feedback and gaining an understanding customer requirement.
· Merchandising – managing critical path
· keeping in constant contact with customer buyers, relaying messages to the appropriate factory members, whilst learning how to deal with enquiries.
· Factory Production Management – ensuring production is on schedule
· Ad hoc duties are also an essential job role as you are providing full administrative support ie DHL parcel sending & filing.
· Maintenance of samples – chasing and booking in
· Accurately & efficiently create purchase orders
· Oversee the fitting and sealing of samples (create size specs, fit garments in line with Critical path, check and approve pre -production/ production samples)
· Sample Management (including labelling, logging, organising, preparing sample for buyers meetings)
