Salary: £30,000 - £40,000

A prominent design and environmental firm specialising in Ecology, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Landscape Planning, Biodiversity Net Gain, Arboriculture, and GIS is seeking a Senior Ecologist to join their Manchester team.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Ecologist:

• Lead and oversee a diverse array of ecology projects, ensuring top-notch delivery.
• Perform habitat and protected species surveys, act as the Ecological Clerk of Works, and generate technical reports.
• Supervise subconsultants and provide mentorship to junior ecologists.
• Foster strong client relationships and assist in business development efforts.
• Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Requirements for the Senior Ecologist:

• Significant experience at the Consultant Ecologist level or currently in a Senior Ecologist role.
• Full membership with CIEEM.
• Possession of Protected Species Licences.
• In-depth understanding of UK wildlife legislation, EIA, and planning processes.
• Proven experience in project management, fieldwork, and report writing.
• A valid UK driving licence.
