About the Role:

The successful candidate will supervise classes during teacher absences, managing the classroom, maintaining discipline, and delivering pre-prepared lesson materials. This role is ideal for those with a strong interest in education who are eager to support students in a range of subjects and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and Support: Manage classrooms and ensure a focused learning environment in the absence of the regular teacher, delivering pre-set lesson materials across a variety of subjects.

Engage and Motivate Students: Foster a respectful and inclusive classroom culture, engaging students in productive activities and assisting with their learning.

Maintain Discipline and Structure: Uphold school policies and guidelines, promoting a safe and supportive atmosphere for all students.

Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with teachers and other staff members to support student learning and development.

Administrative Tasks: Complete necessary record-keeping, including attendance and lesson feedback for the usual teacher.

Qualifications

Educational Background: Relevant qualifications, with a degree in Education or a related field preferred.
Experience: Prior experience working with young people or in a school setting is highly desirable.
Skills: Strong classroom management skills, effective communication, and the ability to work flexibly across different subjects and year groups.
Additional Requirements: An Enhanced DBS on the update service.
