Health and Safety Administrator
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
Location: Primarily based in one of the main depots with occasional travel to other depots.
Our client is seeking a Health and Safety Administrator to support their expanding team. This role may suit someone with warehouse experience who has actively contributed to a Health and Safety Committee and is looking to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and administration of health and safety policies across the company's depots.
- Support the implementation of health and safety plans, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date health and safety records, including incident reports, risk assessments, and audit documentation.
- Coordinate and manage the health and safety training matrix, ensuring certifications such as Forklift and IPAF are current across all teams.
- Liaise with depot teams to ensure health and safety procedures are being followed and assist in promoting a safety-first culture.
- Participate in accident investigations and help implement corrective actions where needed.
- Schedule and help prepare health and safety meetings, taking minutes and following up on action points.
- Provide administrative support for health and safety audits, including ISO and other industry standards.
- Assist in compiling reports and data for senior management on health and safety performance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience working in a warehouse or operational environment with involvement in a Health and Safety Committee or a similar role.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with different teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with managing records and documentation.
- A proactive attitude towards safety and continuous improvement.
