Job Title: School Chef
Location: New Barn School, Newbury
Salary: £16,725 per annum
Hours: 30 hours per week; Monday - Friday, 9:30am-3:00pm
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

Due to growth in service, we are looking for an outstanding School Chef to join our team at New Barn School.
About the role
Key Task Areas and Responsibilities
- To plan menus for the pupils and school staff with reference to their dietary needs
- To set up and clean down the kitchen areas before and after day to day use
- To ensure that necessary preparation is undertaken for the day/weekly demand/needs of the Centre
- To be observant of the need to minimise waste
- To provide suitable food to staff/pupils with special dietary requirements

New Barn School offers a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum to boys and girls, aged 6–19 years who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health complexities.
New Barn School takes full advantage of its beautiful settings and fosters a love for using the outdoor curriculum including forest school, farm experiences and horse riding. The school is within a commutable distance of Swindon, Oxford, Andover, Basingstoke and Reading and other surrounding towns and villages.
