Mechanical Design Engineer: Our client, an innovative manufacturer based in North Yorkshire, seek to appoint a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop new and modify existing products and provide technical engineering support across the Group. With scope for career progression whilst working for a market leading manufacturer this Mechanical Design Engineer role would suit a design graduate with a few years industry experience through to an established Mechanical Design Engineer.

Mechanical Design Engineer - Role & Responsibilities - Mechanical Engineering, SolidWorks, Inventor, SolidEdge

- Design and engineer products to uphold company best practices
- Ensure that new product designs and any cost reduction designs achieve the target cost price, required launch date, and meet and legislative criteria
- Maintain and create BOM, a product specification, and maintain the company ERP system
- Remain involved in whole lifecycle of a product: liaise with quality department through design process, support production teams during manufacture potentially training assembly operatives, and speak to suppliers/customers where necessary

Mechanical Design Engineer - Skills & Abilities - Mechanical Engineering, SolidWorks, Inventor, SolidEdge

- HNC / HND qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of two years' experience, post University, of 3D modelling (SolidWorks preferred)
- Working knowledge of ERP systems advantageous
