Electrical Engineer – Foundry Environment

Location: Derbyshire
Salary: £48,000 per annum + Monthly Bonus
Shift Pattern: Panama Days Shift

Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer:

  • Preventative Maintenance & Repairs: Conduct routine and reactive maintenance on foundry equipment and machinery, ensuring efficient and continuous operation.
  • Electrical Systems Expertise: Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, including motors, control panels, PLCs, and automated systems.
  • Interpret Electrical Drawings: Read and work from detailed electrical engineering schematics for installation, repair, and maintenance tasks.
  • Health & Safety: Adhere to safety standards and best practices, ensuring a secure working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

The Ideal Electrical Engineer:

  • Experience: Proven background as an Electrical Engineer, ideally within a foundry, heavy industrial, or manufacturing setting.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding and practical experience with electrical systems, including fault-finding, wiring, and control systems.
  • Drawings Interpretation: Ability to accurately read and work from complex electrical engineering drawings.
  • Qualifications: Relevant electrical engineering qualifications (NVQ, HNC, or equivalent) are essential. Additional training in PLCs would be advantageous.
