Due to continued success and exciting plans for further expansion, our client is seeking to recruit a dynamic and astute Engineering Manager to take ownership of their heavy industrial plant based in Nottingham to develop and grow their talented workforce.

Their ideal candidate will have an Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering qualification, experience with electrical and control systems, and have worked in a heavy industrial environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage the entire Engineering process on a day-to-day basis including resource planning
• Implement continuous improvement techniques throughout the maintenance department
• Draft and implement risk assessments, safe working procedures, and method statements
• Ensure the maintenance team work to an exceptionally high standard
• Schedule and prioritise workloads to the production team and contractors
• Oversee operations including welding, fabrication, fitting and PPM
• Ensure all team members adhere to company HSEQ policies
• Manage and develop a Computerised Maintenance Management System

Skills & Experience

• Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering qualification
• Experience working within a heavy industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of FMEA, FTA, SMED, and maintenance programs
• Experience leading a team of Engineers
• Understanding of 5S and continuous improvement practices including implementation and maintenance
• Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques and LEAN manufacturing principles
