Role Overview

As an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll work closely with senior management to deliver complex projects from inception through to completion. This role is ideal for someone who’s passionate about construction, has a solid understanding of project management, and is eager to grow within the industry. You’ll gain hands-on experience while contributing to key phases of projects and ensuring our high standards are met across all stages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Support: Work directly with the Project Manager to coordinate daily project activities, ensuring timelines, budgets, and specifications are met.
  • On-Site Management: Regularly visit project sites to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure that work aligns with project specifications and safety standards.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a point of contact for clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, fostering effective communication and building strong working relationships.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee on-site quality control measures to maintain our standards and ensure the highest quality of work.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and submit project updates, including progress reports, budget tracking, and any changes to project scope.
  • Problem-Solving: Address on-site challenges and potential delays proactively, providing solutions that keep projects on track.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in project management.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with precast concrete and construction best practices is essential for this role.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders.
  • Organisation: Excellent time-management and multitasking abilities, with an eye for detail and precision.
  • Adaptability: A willingness to travel frequently and adapt to the needs of various sites and projects.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite; experience with AutoCAD or BIM software is a bonus.
