The Company

An established, multisite food manufacturing business specialising in the development and production of a wide range of chilled products. A well-known business, they produce a range of branded products and into most UK retailers.  

The Role 

We’re looking for a Quality Manager to be part of a busy, supportive team. It’s a busy, fast-paced environment and, reporting to the Technical Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, developing, and motivating the quality team to drive and maintain standards. 
  • Supporting the Technical Manager, working to drive cultural and behavioural change. 
  • Working closely with colleagues in operations/production to instil a food quality focused culture. 
  • Ensuring the site is audit ready and always meets BRC, retail, and legislative standards. 
  • Spending a lot of time in the factory, proactively identifying and remedying food safety and quality issues. 

About You:

This is an ideal opportunity for a Quality Manager looking for a new challenge, or somebody with a technical/quality background looking for progression. 

The key things you’ll need are: 

  • Experience of leading a quality team in a chilled/high-care food manufacturing environment. 
  • Proactive in approach, able to work with a degree of autonomy and the confidence to challenge as appropriate. 
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of BRC and retail codes of practice.
  • Team player, comfortable leading and developing people and contributing to the wider technical function.
