Group Health, Safety and Environment Officer // Rochester // £35-45,000 Per Annum
My client, a leading global distributor, are looking for a Group Health, Safety and Environment Officer to provide their expertise and advice to the whole organisation on how to protect the welfare of the employees in the workplace.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Complete site safety tours, inspections, audits and engagement forums on a regular basis
- Conduct fire alarm testing, evacuation procedures, extinguishers, lighting and fire exit doors
- Provide safety management advice, monitoring and reporting in the workplace, and engaging staff in programs that ensure safe practice in the workplace.
- Lead and support the development of the Company sustainability strategy.
- Lead Health, Safety and Environment inductions for new employees or contractors
- Investigate safety incidents
Experience and Expertise:
- Proven experience in a related role
- Occupational Health and Safety Qualification
- Knowledge of Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work and accident investigation.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding goals and objectives.
- Decision-making skills, especially in high-pressure situations.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience working with ISOs and NEBOSH
