Role Overview:

The National Compliance Officer (Legal) will be responsible for overseeing and managing the legal compliance framework across the business operations in [the UK

. You will ensure that all business activities align with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies, while actively mitigating legal and regulatory risks. The role requires a proactive approach to compliance, including legal training, risk assessments, and the development and enforcement of policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance Management: Oversee compliance with national laws, industry regulations, and internal policies across all business activities.
  • Legal Risk Identification: Identify and assess legal and regulatory risks across the organization and advise management on mitigation strategies.
  • Policy Development & Implementation: Develop, implement, and regularly review the company’s legal and compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Training & Awareness: Deliver compliance training programs to employees to ensure understanding and adherence to legal obligations.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate reporting to regulatory bodies as required by national laws.
  • Internal Investigations: Lead internal investigations into potential compliance violations, misconduct, or legal breaches, and recommend corrective actions.
