Site Engineer

My client, a successful main contractor specialising in high rise commercial schemes and industrial projects, has a requirement for a Site Engineer for a £30m commercial development in Bristol comprising both steel and RC structures. This is a freelance role for around 6 months.
The site engineer will report to the Project Manager and duties will include conducting initial topographical surveys, QA/ checking, managing subcontractors and also setting out for earthworks, drainage and frames. It is desirable for the site engineer to hold SMSTS and First Aid in addition to a CSCS card.
Additionally, the successful candidate will also be responsible for:
* Maintaining line & level control
* Measurements & Calculations
* Interpretation of technical drawings
* Providing technical assistance to the project team where required
* Coordinating the technical aspects of package handovers
* Checking the accuracy of sub-contractors work where required
