Head of Marketing

Hybrid position with 2 / 3 days per week in the Office

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Head of Marketing B2C to totally own the marketing function and be responsible for driving and maintaining explosive growth. Only Heads Of Marketing with exceptional B2C experience will be considered for this opportunity.

The Head of Marketing will be:

  • Someone who has driven explosive growth, whether via customer acquisition, product sales, or otherwise where they served as the head of marketing
  • Someone who is an expert at customer acquisition within B2C, but also has the other bases covered to a very high level (e.g. retention, customer relationship management, brand building, positioning and so on).
  • Someone who is digital-first and knows how to drive powerful campaigns through digital media. Ideally someone with a great mix of experience across Meta, Affiliates, Google and other platforms etc.
  • Someone who has a track record of identifying new growth opportunities and acting on them
  • Someone who will be hands-on and has experience of getting stuck in to drive the business and team forward at all levels.

This position would ideally suit someone who is hands-on and has a bias for experimenting and rapidly testing new ideas. Experience of developing growth opportunism across the UK and Europe through exciting marketing activities is a must.

This is a rare opportunity to join a profitable startup in a key role at an exciting time, as we launch the next phase of our platform, roll out additional brands and expand internationally. As our digital marketing growth Manager, you will report directly to the Founder & CEO, and you’ll be responsible for leading and executing growth initiatives within our digital marketing environment.

You should be numbers-driven, comfortable with analytics tools, and enjoy learning and working with new software. You’ll work across the entire marketing funnel. Attention to detail is very important, and having an eye for visual design and the ability to write strong copy will also be a big help.

Responsibilities

  • To take full ownership of end-to-end campaign development, setup, measurement, budget pacing and optimisation across all of our digital customer acquisition channels.
  • This is hands-on role – you will be expected, in collaboration with the marketing team, to implement strategies yourself.
  • To be responsible for the success of paid ads, display ads, SEO, affiliate marketing and all other digital marketing channels, with a particular focus on Facebook and Instagram.
  • To own the growth of Key Performance Indicators across our digital marketing channels: new customers, CAC/CPA/ROAS/CLTV, etc.
  • To be obsessed with driving performance improvement, and relentlessly seek out opportunities to generate customer growth.
  • To oversee an ‘always-testing’ approach, leveraging data to determine the effectiveness of campaigns and informing decision making.
  • To optimise key user journeys and touchpoints for both new customer acquisition and retention.
  • To report directly to the wider team and stakeholders, including the Founder & CEO.
  • To monitor competitor’s activity and industry trends to identify opportunities for generating advantages and customer growth.

Candidate requirements

  • 10+ years in marketing with a proven track record in delivering successful campaign strategies and executing across multiple digital marketing channels – in particular Facebook and Instagram.
  • Experience running effective campaigns across the entire digital marketing funnel
  • A robust ‘test and learn’ mindset; scope and set up tests, analyse and present results, propose iterations and rollout schedules
  • To be equally comfortable with the data-driven and creative elements of digital marketing.
  • Expertise in developments across paid social, paid search and biddable platforms.
  • Highly data proficient, with strong analytics skills. Comfortable working with a variety of analysis tools.
  • Extremely organised, and ready to hit the ground running from the first week.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to clearly share your ideas and data to support it.
  • Creative mindset and ability to think outside the box when developing new campaign ideas.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
