As they continue to expand, they are seeking a highly experienced Production Engineering Manager to join their team.

Role Overview:
The Production Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing the smooth introduction and manufacture of complex aerospace components. This critical role involves leading a team of 20 professionals, including manufacturing engineers, designers, programmers, and machinists. The successful candidate will ensure that all processes are optimized, efficient, and meet the high standards required in the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire production engineering process, from initial design to full-scale manufacturing, ensuring the seamless introduction of complex aerospace parts.
  • Lead and mentor a team of 20, including manufacturing engineers, designers, programmers, and machinists.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project timelines, quality standards, and budgetary requirements are met.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations, particularly those specific to aerospace.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any production issues that may arise, maintaining the highest levels of quality and precision.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Senior experience in a comparable sub-contract machining environment is essential.
  • Aerospace industry experience is highly advantageous, but not essential.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to lead a multidisciplinary team.
  • In-depth knowledge of production engineering processes, particularly in the context of complex component manufacturing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
