As the Group Marketing Manager, you will be at the forefront of our marketing strategy, responsible for developing and executing comprehensive plans that elevate our brand and drive our business growth globally. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement innovative campaigns, oversee digital and traditional marketing channels, and contribute to the overall success of our dynamic organisation which provides a range of services to engineering and manufacturing organisations across multiple industries.

The Group Marketing Manager reports to the CEO and is responsible for implementing Group wide marketing activities and supporting the sales and business development activities through the provision of market research, communications, presentations and tender document support as well as progressing various events and exhibition attendance for the business.

The requirements of the role will be flexible depending on market conditions and specific company requirements but there are a number of core elements;

  • Implement marketing actions to enhance G&P’s brand reputation and familiarity
  • Management of 3rd party agencies, including the PR agency to provide cost effective actions
  • Develop targeted and efficient social media and email campaigns
  • Support new business development initiatives, including leading on the implementation of our new website, promotional content collateral and coordination of exhibitions
  • Develop presentations as required to support the sales and corporate initiatives
  • Support our diversification strategy by helping with the research into new sectors and business propositions
  • Develop and implement a strategy for engagement with major clients, relevant industry networks and press supported by a series of events.
  • Ensure that brand and marketing actions are consistent across the Group
  • Production of graphics and creative digital promotional layouts including brochures, case studies

Skills Requirements

  • Experience of implementing cost effective and targeted marketing programmes
  • Strong social media and network skills
  • Strong coordination and communication skills, with ability to prioritise effectively
  • Good analysis skills with a strong attention to detail and mindset to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Graphic design packages, PowerPoint and Word and ideally familiar with Microsoft BI
  • CRM experience is desirable but more important to have the ability to quickly learn new systems

The role is hybrid including regular days based in our Head Office in the iconic Fort Dunlop in Birmingham, UK with the occasional need to travel.
