Sales Manager

Our client is looking for a proven Sales Manager to lead an already well-established, successful Sales Team in the Equipment/Business relocation Industry.

This is a new role reporting directly into the Sales Director and managing a small sales team (2 X BDMs and 1 Internal Sales Engineer)

(The head office is in Bristol so ideally you will be within a suitable commute for various meetings, but you won’t be in the office that regularly)

Salary up to £55k + Commission

You will be involved in the day-to-day workings of the Sales function as well as people management of the team.

You must be a successful sales professional who has a background in creating impressive sales and business growth through effective deployment of business and sales strategies.

This role covers a wide geography and is based within our Head Office (Bristol) and Remotely visiting clients where necessary.

As a Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing sales strategies to maximise revenue and market share.

You will ensure strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring the successful delivery of the company offering.

You will be able to quickly assimilate the dynamic of the Company to maximise both sales and business performance

KEY TASKS

  • Follow-up leads in a timely manner
  • Close orders within the required timeframe
  • Provide leadership, motivation, and guidance to team members
  • Develop strong relationships at Key Accounts and meet or exceed the annual sales targets
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company goals
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking and market research
  • Collaborate with all departments to ensure the seamless execution of projects
  • Prepare and present compelling proposals to potential clients
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a sales team
  • Attend and carry out site surveys

SALES

  • Contribute to the design and maintenance of sales strategy
  • Timely and accurate completion of work to achieve individual and team targets
  • Provide measurable reports on sales pipeline and progress
  • Achieve sales growth in line with targets as communicated by the Sales Director from time to time through lead generation and follow-up of sales leads and enquiries
  • Maintain existing customer base and develop repeat customers
  • Sales Experience: Minimum of 5 years preferred Technical Sales/Semiconductor industry

MANAGEMENT

  • Oversee the work of the team, including allocating work and monitoring quality and productivity
  • Approve holiday requests, ensuring that annual leave is effectively managed within the team to maintain sufficient cover
  • Provide team members with continuous constructive feedback and support to facilitate development and improvement
  • Conduct performance reviews and appraisals
  • Serve as a link between team members and the senior Management team
  • Communicate regularly, making effective use of a range of different communication methods
  • Setting, managing, and achieving company-wide sales budgets and forecasts

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment preferred
  • Working and demonstratable understanding of industry/ customer standards and industry best practices

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Additional and/or unsociable hours may be necessary when required
  • Frequent travel away from home (UK & abroad) as required
  • Work from home as appropriate to the demands of the role
