Health and Safety Officer

Our client a leading international bank based in London are seeking a Health and Safety Officer to join their growing team on a full-time permanent basis offering a salary of up to £45,000 per annum, this would be a full office-based position, in their London branch.

What will you be doing?

As the Health and Safety officer, your main responsibility will be to ensure that the bank is fully compliant with the UK occupational Health and Safety standards, and provide a healthy environment for staff, customers, contactors and visitors and all statutory requirements are maintained throughout the bank. You will develop fire and other emergency plans for the bank, you will carryout any accident and incident investigations and report under the RIDDOR legislation. You will ensure health and safety are displayed at all banks and carry out branch visits. You will coordinate the risk assessment programme and ensure the management of high - risk activities by use of permit to work system. You will chair and organise consultation meetings with employees, plus other day to day duties.

What skills will you have?

You will have between 3 - 5 years of UK working experience. You will have a IOSH OR NEBOSH qualification. You will have a keen eye for detail, with excellent communication skills, being able to communicate with staff of all levels. You will be approachable and trustworthy, with excellent knowledge in your field.
