Early careers teacher

Posted 2 hours ago by Zen Educate

Location:
BS1, Bristol, City of Bristol
Salary/Rate:
£130 - £145/day

Have you recently completed your teaching qualification? Unsure what school will be your cup of tea?

Looking perhaps to develop your classroom management before jumping into a permanent post?

Zen Educate is appealing to any early careers teachers to take on either full time or part time work in secondary schools around the Bristol and wider area. This can either be teaching in your speciality subject or working general cover to get a better feel for various schools and see what they are really like?

You can work with Zen as long as you need, and in many cases, it can lead to a permanent post in a school you get on well with.

Working hours are typically 8:30-3:30, Monday to Friday.

What are we looking for;

- UK QTS

- A can do attitude. The best teachers especially on supply, long term or short term, are the ones that are happy to get stuck in and be flexible to the schools needs

- Be reliable and a good communicator. There may be times when work is requested of you last minute, but sometimes that one day is all it takes to get repeat or long term work at a school

- Be confident in the curriculum around your subject specialism, and be happy to try delivering lessons in other subjects (don't worry you wouldn't need to plan for them)

- Have good classroom management skills, but also take on board feedback and areas you can improve your teaching practice

- An enhanced DBS on the update service or happy to obtain a new one

Zen offers a great platform to take some of the stress out of taking on more supply based work, get in touch to see what we can do for you.
