Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee high-quality landscaping projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will manage creative and functional landscaping programs, coordinating closely with subcontractors to ensure all work aligns with safety standards, project timelines, and quality expectations. A strong background in both hard and soft landscaping is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the creation and review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), with quarterly updates for safety compliance.
- Participate in SOCOTEC and project management health and safety reviews to ensure continuous compliance.
- Prepare and distribute weekly H&S updates with actionable items to keep the team informed.
- Update the project programme regularly to reflect activities and milestones.
- Coordinate subcontractors to ensure work aligns with the project schedule, managing material call-offs as needed.
- Monitor weekly site progress for quality standards, document snagging items, and oversee defect rectifications.
- Prepare necessary handover documentation, including practical completion certifications.
- Manage Requests for Information (RFIs), ensuring queries are logged, tracked, and responded to efficiently.
- Attend client meetings and daily briefings (DABS) to provide project updates and address action items.
- Assist with monthly valuations and document variations for financial tracking.
- Coordinate delivery schedules and inspections for high-risk deliveries, ensuring quality and compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in landscaping, with expertise in both hard and soft landscaping.
- Knowledge of landscaping materials, installation techniques, and quality standards.
- Strong organizational skills and experience coordinating subcontractors and suppliers.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various project sites in Central London.
